Gwilym Attwell has been a member of the PTAB Bar Association since 2021. “People are more than willing to share their experiences and teach others. Ultimately, that raises the bar at the PTAB and challenges practitioners to continually hone their skillset.”
Fortunately for him, Gwilym practices what he preaches; he frequently lectures on the global stage and routinely chairs or speaks at leading industry conferences on a variety of topics related to practice before the PTAB.
Gwilym is currently a Principal in the Delaware and Washington D.C. offices of Fish & Richardson where he focuses on strategic counseling, due diligence studies, and opinion work for biotech, medical device, and pharmaceutical companies. Prior to his legal career, Gwilym served as a pharmacologist at Wyeth-Ayerst Research in the bone metabolism and osteoporosis research department.
Outside of his legal work, Gwilym lives on a small farm and enjoys spending time attempting to maintain his more than 200-year-old home. His feelings on this so-called hobby generally vacillate between enjoyment and frustration; “I love it when the planets are aligned and my efforts at repairs work out, but that isn’t always the case …”.
