Diversity, Women's, and Young Lawyers and Agents Committees Host Speed Mentoring Event - July 16, 2025
On July 16, 2025, the PTAB Bar Association’s Diversity, Women’s, and Young Lawyers and Agents Committees hosted a Speed Mentoring event to connect newer practitioners with those who are more experienced, stimulate productive conversations, and provide an avenue to form effective mentoring relationships. The event provided a forum for open conversation between newer and more experienced practitioners, while giving everyone a chance to connect with different people. The program was moderated by Connor Scholes from Jones Day and facilitated by Ellyar Barazesh of Baker Botts and Thomas Yeh of Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton. Logged-in members of the PTAB Bar Association can access the slide deck from the presentation at the following members-only link: Diversity, Women's, and Young Lawyers & Agents Committees, Speed Mentoring (July 16, 2025).About the PTAB Bar Association
The PTAB Bar Association is a voluntary bar association of over 700 members, most of whom are in private and corporate practice. Members represent a broad spectrum of individuals, companies, and institutions involved in practice before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (“PTAB”) of the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (“USPTO”) and in patent, administrative, and appellate law more generally. The Association is dedicated to helping secure the just, speedy, and inexpensive resolution of every PTAB proceeding, and serves as an avenue for constructive dialogue between the bar community, the PTAB, and other stakeholders.
