Diversity, Women's, and Young Lawyers and Agents Committees Host "From Data to Action: Demystifying Meritocracy" Webinar - September 30, 2025
On September 30, 2025, the
Diversity Committee,
Women’s Committee, and
Young Lawyers & Agents Committee of the PTAB Bar Association, in conjunction with ChIPs, co-hosted a webinar titled "From Data to Action: Demystifying Meritocracy." The panel debunked the myths around meritocracy and offered insights from cutting-edge research, conducted specifically to address the drivers and outcomes of cases within the IP ecosystem. Attendees walked away with useful tools to combat the anti-DEI narrative and learned from real-life examples from leading PTAB attorneys. DEI/Diversity CLE credit was available for several jurisdictions requiring the credit. Logged-in members of the PTAB Bar Association can access the slides from the presentation at the following members-only link:

About the PTAB Bar Association
The PTAB Bar Association is a voluntary bar association of over 700 members, most of whom are in private and corporate practice. Members represent a broad spectrum of individuals, companies, and institutions involved in practice before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (“PTAB”) of the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (“USPTO”) and in patent, administrative, and appellate law more generally. The Association is dedicated to helping secure the just, speedy, and inexpensive resolution of every PTAB proceeding, and serves as an avenue for constructive dialogue between the bar community, the PTAB, and other stakeholders.
